In its statement, Twitter did not specify which particular post by West led to the decision to ban his account.
The ban comes after West took to Twitter after dealing with a similar ban on Instagram. The musician shared two tweets that were largely criticized as anti-Semitic.
The first post has since been removed by Twitter for “violating the Twitter Guidelines”. Within the post, West claimed that he could not be anti-Semitic and said that he was given a “toy” by the Jewish people.
A second post shared after the first has gone public on Twitter: “Which do you consider to be a canceled tradition?
It is customary for accounts that repeatedly violate the policies of the social media platform to comment and send messages. The company did not specify what specific positions were behind the ban.
West, who uses the agreement with @kanyewest on the platform, shared a now-deleted post that includes a screenshot of a message purportedly sent to rapper Diddy, which has been supported by Jewish advocacy teams such as the American Jewish Committee. Help has been recognized. Criticized as anti-Semitic.
Representatives for West were not immediately there for comment.
Within hours of his ban on Instagram, West first took to Twitter after Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, sought to ban the platform.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is engaged in a legal process related to a possible purchase of Twitter, responded by welcoming West to the social media platform.
The rapper also shared what appears to be a teaser for the 2024 political campaign, a prospect he has flirted with so far.
In March, the rapper was suspended from the stage for twenty-four hours. In that event the content was also removed from West’s account for violating policies for hate speech, bullying and harassment.
West also faced controversy after wearing a shirt that learned “White Lives Matter” during the Yeezy Season 9 Style show in Paris earlier this week. The rapper also appeared on Fox Information’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday night to debate the election for an interview.
